Chair yoga is a practice in which postures are performed while seated or standing with the aid of a chair. It's an excellent class for those who want to explore yoga with additional props and discover a new practice method.
Restorative yoga is a gentle and therapeutic practice that promotes passive healing. This practice is specifically designed to help restore your body's nervous system function, allowing it to rest, recover and achieve balance. The use of props such as chairs, blocks, bolsters, or blankets is a key feature of restorative yoga. The props help to hold passive poses for longer periods without tiring out your muscles, while providing comfort and support. You are encouraged to fully relax into the poses and focus on your breathing, which allows you to release muscle tension for extended periods without discomfort. This practice is also known to reduce blood pressure, slow down breathing, and create a feeling of calm and wellbeing. During this workshop we will explore restorative positions that work best for you.
